Lessons are tailored to each student, but draw from a deep well of both Bluegrass and Swing mandolin tradition — from rhythm chop chords and flatpicking single-note lines to improvisation, chord melody, and the subtle timing feel that separates players who sound musical from players who just sound correct.

Singer minored in Music in college and has spent decades deepening that foundation through real performance experience — filling in for Nashville-caliber Bluegrass bands at regional events, leading workshops at festivals across the Inland Northwest, and playing with regional acts including The Coats String Band, Flat Pick Earl, and Heartbreak Pass. When Circa Blue and Blue Streak needed a mandolin sub at regional events, Singer got the call.
